Connecting Communities
as part of the National Broadband Plan

The public consultation paper on the proposed Intervention Strategy is an important step in our
goal to connect all communities as part of the National Broadband Plan (NBP).

The short introductory video gives you an overview of what we are planning as part of Connecting Communities.

There are a number of stages to the National Broadband Plan. The first step is the completion of the High Speed Broadband Map 2016. You can now use the map to see current and planned coverage in your area.

The map shows Ireland with two colours, BLUE and AMBER. The blue represents those areas that the commercial operators will cover by the end of 2016. amber represents areas that will be targeted by the National Broadband Plan.

You can see if your premises are located within an amber or blue area by either 1 Zooming in on the map or 2 Using the search box.
You can then click on your premises or any area to display more information. View map in full screen

It is important to note that the map is subject to change. If your premises is not on the map, let the Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSI) know.
